In just a span of two months, four above magnitude 6 earthquakes rocked Davao Region and other parts of Mindanao. On December 15, the latest and strongest shook the same areas with a magnitude 6.9 tremor.
The quake reportedly left four people dead, 100 injured, about 50,000 people newly displaced, and at least 10,000 houses and buildings partially or totally damaged.
The number is expected to rise as authorities continue to conduct search and retrieval operations.
As hundreds of aftershocks remain to shake the grounds, the people of Mindanao continue to call for help and support.
The Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) is appealing for the support of not only its member companies but also the entire community of Cebu in helping the Mindanaoans through donating to the Let’s Help MindaNOW! campaign.
This holiday season let us come together as one, give back to our Fellow Filipinos in Mindanao, and be of aide to those who are in need.
For more information on the Let’s Help MindaNOW donation campaign, one may call the CCCI office at 232 1423 or 0915-095-0659 and look for Ms. Juffer Denn Bornales or email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
